Mubarak joined the Kulik group as a postdoctoral fellow in September 2026. He received his PhD from the University of South Carolina under Prof. Andreas Heyden, where he used first-principles modeling and data science to guide the optimization and design of catalytic technologies. In the Kulik group, his research focuses on applying multi-scale and data-driven approaches to molecular discovery in homogeneous and enzymatic catalysis.
