Soonhyun obtained a Bachelor of Physics from the Seoul National University. While at SNU, he worked with Prof. Bhom-Jung Yang to find the relation between quantum metric and topology in the Euler insulator.

Soonhyun joined the Kulik group as a Ph.D student in Nuclear Science and Engineering. In the Kulik lab, he will perform screening and design of metal-organic frameworks for chemical fixation of CO₂.
